He Hongbei graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Chongqing in 1992.
She is currently working and living in Beijing.
She has had solo exhibitions in China and USA and being part of group exhibitions in many cities in USA. She lived there for more than 10 years.
Her early paintings were identified as “Painting like a letter” and her work “nightingale” was winning an award of excellence at the first Guangzhou Biennale 1992. Her works are feminine and often portraits a woman in a dream alike environment. She expresses the inner world of contemporary women and her paintings resemble the letters, interacting with the viewers through the visual means.
Since she moved back to Beijing her Dumping Garbage series developed during 2009-2010. Again it reflects on women’s inner life and feelings in China. The new thing that catches your eyes when looking at the women is their amazing beauty.
Clearly these paintings are of high social relevance and leads to intense reflection of our life, behavior and attitudes.
